The Polar Express

I know it is 90 degrees out and it is hard to think about Christmas, however, registration started August 15 on the Fox Valley Trolley Museums website for their annual Polar Express train ride. This will be a great way to kick off the holiday season. Based on the Christmas book by Chris Van Allsburg, Polar Express train rides bring the classic children's story to life with a real train ride and a visit with Santa Claus. Amid shouts of "All Aboard" and a jolly "ho-ho-ho," true believers set off on a magical Christmas train ride to North Pole City. Join Step by Step on December 5th for this magical event. Tickets sell out very quickly and you must purchase your own ticket on their website at http://www.foxtrolley.org/reservations.html and then send/email me your confirmation for reimbursement.

Reimbursement will be approximately $6 per paying member. They have not announced the cost of the event yet, so we are basing this on last years cost. Send your confirmation to Shannon Milmoe at s_milmoe@hotmail.com.
A Christmas Carol Movie—3D

Join us for the new Disney 3D movie! Time and location TBD—watch for email announcement. SBS will reimburse half the price per paying member. RSVP to Melissa at Mkru1223@yahoo.com by Thursday, Dec. 10 with number of paying adults/children. Non-members may attend but will not be reimbursed.
Breakfast with Santa

Shiraz on the Water restaurant at the Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale--250 Schick Rd.
They offer a wonderful buffet breakfast that has everything you could want. It is a wonderful experience and we had a great time last year. You will need to call and make reservations at the restaurant for your family at (630) 671-5013 I have reservations for the 10:00 seating. The breakfast is from 10-2. If you are attending at the same time you can ask to be seated by my family so we can all sit together. Last year we had an entire room to ourselves which made it great for the kids. Reimbursement will be given that day. If you are not going to be there when I am there, please send me a copy of your receipt and we will send you your reimbursement.
RSVP instructions: After making your reservations with the restaurant at 630-671-5013, send me the number of adults and children attending and the ages of the children at s_milmoe@hotmail.com. The price is $31.95 for adults and $14.95 for children ages 5-12. Children 4 and under are free. We will be reimbursing $16 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-12.
