Step by Step holds a number of programs and family events throughout the year. Some programs provide information to assist parents on topics such as effective discipline or how to save money for college. Other programs help educate children as well as parents on topics such as good nutrition, dental health and cultural diversity. Many of these programs are open to the community for a small fee.
Several member-only family parties are held during the year to provide a more social opportunity for parents and children. These are some of our most popular events and often feature entertainers, crafts, games and refreshments.

Step By Step's activities also include field trips and social events, which are scheduled on a monthly basis. We also offer playgroups in the park throughout the summer and organized playgroups the rest of the year. Event updates can be found in each month's Toddler Times newsletter.
Many of our events take place at Heritage Lakes Elementary School in Carol Stream. Heritage Lakes is located at 925 Woodhill Drive, just west of County Farm Road. Woodhill Drive is south of Army Trail Road and north of Lies Road.
